At Alexanders Teesside, based in Thornaby, we have Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Omoda and Jaecoo. We have a fantastic selection of new and used cars across these brands as well as Saab and Chrysler After Sales Department including a full equipped Bodyshop.

At Alexanders York, based in Nether Poppleton, we solely operate the Nissan franchise. We took over our York dealership back in 2008 as a Saab franchise. Two years later the Nissan franchise was integrated to share the showroom and workshop facilities with Saab. When Saab ceased production in 2011, Nissan became the sole operator on the site and around this time its sales and market share increased dramatically.

As a family owned and run company, established in 1948, we operate our two franchised dealerships in the North East of England and Yorkshire and pride ourselves on offering a professional and friendly service. This has resulted in our dealerships regularly receiving manufacturer awards for the levels of customer service we provide in both our Sales and After Sales departments.

In 1974, the Company was offered the Saab franchise covering Teesside and surrounding areas and under the management of Bob 'Seniors' son Bob, and his brother Keith. This started a hugely success relationship lasting 38 years, until Saab ceased production.

The period 1979 to 1992 brought the adoption of a further franchise when wesold and serviced Subaru vehicles. The emphasis on 4WD models gave us access to additional markets.

In 1985 the Company opened an approved body and paint department attached to the service operation. This allowed us to offer a complete after sales package.

In 2008 the Company purchased the Saab dealership in York, formerly known as Brecks. Two years later we were awarded the Nissan franchise and this started what has become a very successful relationship.

Over the years our Company has achieved many awards, highlighted in 2000, 2002 and 2003 when under the control of David Alexander, the grandson of the founder, we became the Saab National Dealer of the Year three times in a 4 year period.

We pride ourselves on offering professional and friendly service. This has resulted in our dealerships regularly recieving manufacturer awards for the levels of customer service. We won the FCA Dealer of the Year for customer satisfaction in 2018 & 2020.

The Company continues to grow and employs in excess of 60 people at Thornaby and York. Many of the staff have been with the us for considerable periods of time and much of the Company's success is down to their hard work, commitment and enthusiasm.
